World War II in Europe and the “liberation” of Poland was fought between September 1, 1939, and May 8, 1945.
It cost 42 million lives.
… but Poland was never freed.
HORSES VERSUS TANKS
As Nazi Germany storms across the Polish border, Victor, a 52-year-old retired Major, is thrust back into uniform.
Just days later, he finds himself leading men into a war Poland was never given time to prepare for.
With German Panzer divisions advancing at terrifying speed and Allied reinforcements nowhere in sight, Victor's cavalry brigade receives one final order: hold the line.
What follows is a legendary act of defiance. Facing tanks, artillery and overwhelming odds, Polish horsemen charge into battle not because they believe they can win, but because surrender is unthinkable.
And it is only here where the movie really begins…

It explores the universal struggle to retain humanity amid chaos. Itis a struggle that unites us across nations, beliefs, and generations. Sometimes the conflict within us is greater than the conflict outside us – even in times of war.
Inspired by true events, Enemy Heroes takes the audience where fear and courage is interwoven with the agonizing choices our protagonists are forced to make.
The tragic and inspiring story of World War II Poland is often overlooked and discounted in cinematic history. Enemy Heroes reveals that compassion, empathy, and moral conflict are not bound by uniforms.
For over 45 years as a clinical psychologist, I’ve devoted my life to understanding the human spirit — our resilience, our capacity for compassion and the choices we make when faced with the unthinkable. This film is a continuation of that work, an invitation for audiences to look deeper into what defines us as human beings.
Enemy Heroes encourages the audience not to let resentment and anger seduce us into a polarized viewpoint.
